Boomerang’s Grand Exit! The sun sets on Boomerang for the last time on April 23!

Knott’s Berry Farm says goodbye to the park’s veteran rollercoaster, Boomerang on April 23rd. Riders will have one last chance to ride the reverse shuttle rollercoaster starting now and throughout the duration of Knott’s annual springtime Boysenberry Festival which kicks off April 1-23.

Boomerang Image
The 27 year-old rollercoaster has been a staple in the recently renovated Boardwalk area, replacing the historic “Roaring 20’s Corkscrew” in 1990. Since its opening, Boomerang has taken thrill-seekers on an enthralling two minute ride forward and backwards on its 875-foot track.
Guests will have the opportunity to take a last ride on Boomerang during the popular Knott’s Boysenberry Festival, a celebration of Knott’s Berry Farm’s historic roots anchored by the flavorful boysenberry. Newly expanded this year to 23 days, Knott’s will be showcasing a unique selection of over 75 boysenberry-inspired items from tasty food creations and rare wines to one-of-a kind merchandise that commemorates Knott’s renowned history.

For over 75 years, Knott’s has created memories for families and park goers of all ages; the park has been home to multiple thrilling rollercoasters and family attractions. The park’s team will continue to assist in strategically advancing the park’s development as it continues to grow throughout the years along with our guests.

CALIFORNIA MISSIONS MAKE THEIR LONG AWAITED RETURN TO KNOTT’S BERRY FARM!

Knott’s Berry farm announced that the beloved scale models of California’s historic Missions have returned to the park on Wednesday, November 30. This project reflects Knott’s continued appreciation and preservation of California’s rich history.
img_1056wtmk
Scaled models of the original California Missions boarder the same midway between Silver Bullet and the south entrance of Fiesta Village, as it did previously for many years. Twenty-year veteran of Knott’s Berry Farm’s woodshop and current Knott’s craftsman, Bob Weir, has been meticulously restoring the missions for over three years, for a new generation of guests to appreciate.
img_1031wtmk
“Knott’s Berry Farm prides itself in celebrating California’s rich, living history, and the California Mission models hold as much educational value as they do sentimental value for many of our guests,” said Knott’s general manager, Jon Storbeck. “We know that grade school curriculums in California include lessons on the California Missions, so we’re pleased that Knott’s Adventures in Education programs will allow students a unique and authentic learning experience that can only be found at Knott’s.”
img_1054wtmk
In addition to the return of the historic missions, Knott’s is hosting its Early California History Day on March 15, 2017, in which students will have the opportunity to visit and tour the displayed models within the park, as well as have the opportunity to display a mission of their own. One homemade mission model will be selected to represent an individual school and enter into the California Missions competition. The winning models will be awarded special Knott’s Berry Farm prizes.

History
In the 1950’s as Knott’s Berry Farm grew in popularity, Walter Knott needed a way to keep park guests off of the stagecoach trail between the train depot and the northern end of the park for safety reasons. In keeping with the spirit of Knott’s – attractions both entertain and educate – Walter commissioned Leon Bayard de Volo to create scale models of all 21 California Missions. The missions were displayed in lit cases along the midway running between the Calico Railroad and what is now the south entrance to Fiesta Village.
img_1046wtmk
The area was named El Camino Real (“The King’s Highway”), in honor of the actual California highway that connects all 21 missions. On the North and South ends of El Camino Real stood two full-size double-arch “ruins,” which were built and installed at Knott’s in 1955 and 1956, respectively. Today, the double-arch ruin that originally marked the entrance to Mission row near the train station can be found near the Ghost Town General Store and the Indian Trails Stage. The northern most double-arch is still standing in its original location, behind Wave Swinger in Fiesta Village.

Observe replicas of the historic California Missions such as:

· Mission Santa Barbara
· Mission San Gabriel
· Mission Santa Cruz
· Mission San Diego
· Mission San Buenaventura
· Mission San Carlos Borromėo
· Mission San Luis Obispo
· Mission San Antonio
· Mission Santa Clara
· Mission La Purisima Concepción
· Mission San Miguel Arcángel
· Mission San Luis Rey
· Mission Santa Ines
· And more

A 2017 Knott’s Season Pass is the best way to experience the historic scale models with the family. The extremely popular interactive experience returns for a second year packed with new characters and even more interactive old west fun. The citizens of Calico return to take guests on an immersive journey back in time to the old west of the late 1800s when bandits and cowboys battle for control of the west.  This summer the wild- west gets a little wilder, as new story lines and plot twists will be revealed throughout the season insuring guests will never experience the same adventure twice. Shore Break will also feature dueling tube slides that will zip riders through an enchanting series of drops and turns. The height requirements for Shore Break slides are 48 inches.  The Wedge slide tower will take the location of the current Pacific Spin and will be an open air family raft ride. Up to six guests at a time will descend down navigating twists and turns and unexpected drops. The minimum height requirement is 40 inches and 40 – 48 inches must be accompanied by a responsible person. The expansion project will also include updated shaded seating areas, cabanas and a remodeled Longboards’ Grill. Knott’s Scary Farm Opening Weekend Review and Tips! 2016

Knott’s Scary Farm is finally here, we spent the first 3 nights taking it all in. We’re going to talk about tips, new mazes, experiences and more!

We have spent the whole weekend at the Knott’s Hotel, which was refurbished little over a year ago and it’s the best way to enjoy opening weekend or any night of Scary Farm! They have Scary Farm hotel packages that can gets you a T-Shirt, Fright Lane, Fast Lane, Pre-Scare Dinner at the Hotel, and tickets to the event! The Pre-Scare Dinner is a great way to start the night, you get to visit with the monsters that will end up scaring you later on in the night 😉 Also, you get to take photos with them, and you get into Scary Farm 30 mins early! We recommend going to the backstage mazes first, or whichever maze you would like to go to first. Right now, Shadowlands and Infected are the most popular, Paranormal INC.  still brings in a crowd.

Pass Holders can also get discounts for the Scary Farm Hotel Packages visit https://www.knotts.com/places-to-stay for all the info and reservations.

Tip on the Skeleton Key rooms: We recommend visiting those first, they can get crowed on busy nights and the rooms take time to reset. The rest of the mazes will not be a problem since you have “Fright Lane”.

img_4063

Tip for guests not using Fright Lane: Right now Infected and Shadowlands are the most popular we recommend checking those out first. They are AMAZING!!!

img_5154

Tip for Guests that want to ride the new Ghostrider: The line can get pretty long, lots of people that visit Scary Farm only go to it during Scary Farm. So, try to hit it up at the end of the night because the ride still operates past closing for the remaining line that is there before they rope off the line at closing.

img_5468

FEAR VR

An upcharge virtual reality experience, Mary and I got a change to check it out the night before opening Scary Farm. I was scared lol I don’t like Hospitals very much and…. I don’t want to give out too much but I would defiantly try it out. Its located in Boardwalk (CarnEvil) at The Ballroom near the Log Ride, they have a both set up across from it, its first come first serve so if you want to do this and you don’t have Fright Lanes get to this first

img_7697

Shadowlands

Hello…. This is Mary putting in my two cents on my favorite new maze of 2016! For many years I have always wanted to see Geishas be incorporated with anything horror… I LOVE Japanese art, culture, history, and above all sushi… mmmmmmmm. LOL, but seriously, this maze is amazing! It does the Japanese horror folklore justice and it is so damn beautiful and rich with detail. There is so many innovative scares, use of technology and the cast is on point! I also love the preshow! It is a beautiful death on the battlefield 3:) You should get yourself over there first thing in the evening because the line gets crazy!! This is a NOT TO MISS attraction at Knott’s Scary Farm! Props to Jon Cooke and his team for putting together this fantastic maze!

Infected

This season of Infected is now a walk through maze and it is amazing, OMG!!! I’ve been a fan of Infected since year one and this is amazingly put together, the details are great, the soundtrack is great and lighting… it’s all wow. It’s full of Easter eggs and scary surprises, we got a sneak peek at it the other night but there were no monsters inside and we have yet to see it with the monsters, but we will soon and I’m sure it’s even more amazing. Props to Jon Cooke and the Team involved. Ya’ll are Amazing J Tim.

The Red Barn

Really enjoyed this one, reminded me of Slaughter House J I like the idea of Hill Billy Red Neck Cannibals very scary plus the maze was done at The Wilderness Dance Hall which already looks like a red barn… also when your inside if you look up, it still looks like a barn 😉 We love the twisted minds of Daniel and Gus.

img_4014

P.S. from Mary….. Fog Rainbows 😉

We will continue to give you tips during Scary Farm and our weekend Video will be up soon.

New Mazes

Four all-new nightmarish haunted attractions will debut this year; each featuring unearthly surprises, ghoulish monsters and frightening legends that come to life as you step inside.

Shadow Lands (New for 2016): A fulfilling life ensures a soul safe passage into eternity, but what happens to the souls of soldiers slain in battle? Enter the hair-raising Shadow Lands maze and fight off demon samurais whose souls are cursed to rot within the depths of purgatory. Guests will embark on a quest through a sacred shrine, an ancient Japanese temple and into the midst of the shadow lands.

Shadowlands

Red Barn (New for 2016): Take a trip to a blood-soaked barn filled with carnivorous animals seeking to prey on human flesh in the Red Barn gore maze. Legend has it the farmer who owns the barn was transformed into a heinous creature that sends his sadistic sons to ensure his legacy. None dare enter the barn, for those who enter never escape.

The Red Barn

Standalone Skeleton Key Rooms (New for 2016): For the first time, Knott’s Scary Farm will feature standalone Skeleton Key Rooms that are independent from mazes. The four Skeleton Key Rooms will each feature a unique story and theme delivering unparalleled scares, interactive secrets and terrifying surprises:

Visions: Guests must investigate the Green Witch Museum in Ghost Town where it is not the building that is haunted, but the various items contained within. Using a Phantom Finder augmented reality device, guests will be able to identify and witness paranormal activity connected to items from the Sarah Marshall Witch Trial.

ZOZO: People from all over the world claim to have been visited by the demon ZOZO after a spirit board session. Is the demonic entity known as ZOZO real or are spirit boards just a myth?

Slasher: Guests are invited to step into an 80s’ slasher horror film. The masked Angel Maker Killer is on the loose. Every lead has run cold and that’s when you step into the picture. Will you become his next victim?

IMG_2789wtmkPrey: Navigate a hay maze full of dead ends with only a faulty lantern as your guide. You are not alone. Mutant beasts are lurking around every corner.

Key Rooms

Black Ops: Infected (New for 2016): Armed with cutting edge laser guns, brave guests will face off against hordes of zombies in the groundbreaking all-new Black Ops: Infected interactive maze. Small units of guests will battle the zombie apocalypse through blood soaked city streets and an underground sewer system crawling with nearly one hundred ravenous zombies. The high tech innovative experience thrusts guests into the middle of a live-action video game complete with live actors, real time scoring system, kill streak rewards system and interactive targets, including a juggernaut boss zombie. The new attraction is one of the largest mazes ever created in Knott’s Scary Farm history so form your squad and put your zombie apocalypse survival skills to the test in this action packed, one-of-a-kind experience.

New Scare Zone

The Hollow (New for 2016): From within the fog, the legendary Headless Horseman and his army of the undead are ready to unleash a reign of terror in the new scare zone, The Hollow. Guests entering the frightful 6-acre area will be terrorized by the souls of fallen soldiers and local farmers that have escaped their shallow graves.

The Hollow

Returning Favorites

Back by popular demand, Elvira, the legendary Mistress of the Dark, returns to Knott’s Scary Farm in a spectacular all new show, Elvira’s Danse Macabre, featuring insane dance and comedy performances. The one of a kind performance from the Queen of Halloween will transport guests to a masquerade ball full of music, dance and humor. Knott’s Scary Farm will be the exclusive home of Elvira this Halloween season.

ParnormalPARANORMAL, INC. – The Haunting of Hayden Hill: Last year’s groundbreaking Paranormal Inc. maze will return to Knott’s Scary Farm this year. Featuring high flying aerial stunts and scares, guests investigate a haunted hospital where the patients were tortured for decades by deranged doctors and nurses. Demonic spirits of the murdered victims have been detected throughout the mysterious halls, while evil medical staff prowl for new patients to torture.

Dead of WinterThe Dead of Winter: Wendigo’s Revenge – Deep in the frozen tundra, the realm of a treacherous snow queen has been usurped by her evil minion, the horrific wendigo. She may be dead, but her evil spell hasn’t been lifted: The dead cannibals have risen from their snowy graves as hungry creatures feast on the surrounding villages. During the chaos, the queen’s prized possession, the horrific wendigo, has seized control of her throne, ready to prey upon any unsuspecting visitors who enter the borders of its icy domain.

TrickTrick-or-Treat: Take a brave step forward and ring the witch’s doorbell…trick or treat, which will it be?  After surviving her grisly welcome, wander into the Green Witch’s never before seen potion room and bewitched attic. But don’t leave too soon; you’re the special guest at the Green Witch’s deadly dinner party where she and her menacing Tricksters await your arrival.

Tooth FairyThe Tooth Fairy: This twisted tooth fairy steals more than just baby teeth as he drags his victims out their bedroom window and into a world of deranged dentistry. Unbelievable special effects include a blackout room through which guests must feel their way out, a disorienting x-ray strobe light room, and a final encounter with the massive tooth fairy, himself. Say aahhh.

VooDooVoodoo – Order of the Serpent: The haunting legend of Papa Legba continues as guests follow him on his foreboding journey to conjure the serpent demon goddess in the outskirts of New Orleans. Trudge cautiously through the cursed swamps of the Deep South, where creatures search the murky bogs for their next bloody sacrifice and demons curse the innocent with Voodoo hexes.

GunslingerThe Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises: Deadly howls and a full blood moon mark your impending doom as werewolves overrun the crime stricken old west town. Walk in the bloody footsteps of a betrayed and left for dead gunslinger on his path of retribution against the Skinwalkers.

The Deadly 7, a sadistic crew of terrifying monsters representing each of the seven deadly sins, return to the fog of Knott’s Scary Farm this year. Together they prowl the darkest corners of Scary Farm’s midways and scare zones serving their master, The Green Witch.

The Hanging®: Finding Gory – A live stage show in Calico Square irreverently looks back at the year’s pop culture with killer comedy.  Notorious for its special effects, pyrotechnics and high-flying stunts, The Hanging is a no-holds-barred assault on pop culture’s most infamous moments of the past year.  A must see parody!

160 Acres of Scare Zones

Knott’s Scary Farm is far more than a collection of haunted attractions.  Every night monsters spill out onto the streets and turn theme park midways into murderous scare zones.  From the world famous Ghost Town Streets to the Boardwalk area filled with evil clowns, there’s nowhere to hide in Knott’s Scary Farm.

Ghost Town Streets is the original and largest, most terrifying scare zone that started it all.   Bands of half-human, half-animal monsters prowl the streets and inhabit the fog, while the notoriously startling sliders, lunge from every fog-filled corner of the land.  Fiesta De Los Muertos fuses dance music, colorful costumes, and larger than life stilt walkers in a dance party scare zone.  It’s the ultimate late night celebration of Dia de los Muertos.  On the Boardwalk, clowns crave your undying attention in the CarnEVIL scare zone. New this season, the Hollow scare zone will terrorize guests as the ominous Headless horseman prowls the fog-filled streets along with his army of the undead, treacherously blending into the shadowy night as they frighten all whom they encounter.

Using a Phantom Finder augmented reality device guests will be able to identify and witness paranormal activity connected to artifacts from the Sarah Marshall Witch Trial.

ZOZO: People from all over the world claim to have been visited by the Ouija demon ZOZO after a spirit board session. Is the demonic entity known as ZOZO real or are spirit boards just a myth?

The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor Unveils the Spirit of IRON MASTER

All Aboard the New Maze INTREPID
for a Disturbing Journey into the Legend of the Iron Master

IMG_9337wtmk
The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor has a new cantankerous resident spirit, Iron Master. His torrid legend is brought to life through Intrepid. The new maze transports guests aboard a steamin’ locomotive, back to the birthplace of the Golden Era of Travel –Scotland’s storied shipyard of Clydebank. Blazing down the Iron Master’s death-defying tracks, guests will bear witness on his cursed journey to save The R.M.S. Queen Mary from her predecessor’s Titanic peril. All who dare will swelter and drip with fear as they traverse and crawl to their final destination: Iron Hell. The Iron Master has crossed oceans of time to reclaim his beloved Queen Mary. How far will you go?

IMG_9377wtmk

As the tale is told, Ivan was the ship builder and original iron forger of the majestic R.M.S. Queen Mary. In the early 1930s, Ivan’s shipyard was commissioned by Cunard to build the storied Scottish vessel. Eager to rise to the challenge, he scoured the world in search of a flawless crew and devoted his life to what would be come the most famous shipyard in history. The R.M.S. Queen Mary set sail in 1936 with Captain at the helm and unknowingly, Ivan in the hull.

IMG_9355wtmk

One fateful night, a mysterious steam engine rolled into his shipyard rail station and beckoned Ivan. Before he realized it, he had boarded the deadly train and was barreling toward darkness. By the end of the dark journey, he realized he had been transformed into a terrifying creature – part metal, part monster. Over the century, his corpse decaying, Ivan was forced to replace pieces of his rotted flesh with cast iron – the same from which he forged his beloved ship. A slave to his craft in life, so too, would he become in death. Cursed for eternity as protector of the Queen Mary, Ivan is now…Iron Master.

Through the best of storms and worst of wars, the R.M.S. Queen Mary remained the fastest ship on the seas until she was laid in her eternal resting place here in Long Beach. Befittingly dubbed “The Grey Ghost”, she eerily hovers in the harbor, marking her 80th year afloat.

IMG_9383wtmk

It is said that the spirit of Ivan – the Iron Master has grown restless and the Ringmaster’s circus freaks have overstayed their welcome. Now more than ever, he is heard banging his iron clad limbs as he trudges the ship’s hull. Called upon by the Captain, Iron Master has disembarked to restore order to the steely shipyard in the dark harbor.

IMG_9338wtmk

Twenty-two terrifying nights of Dark Harbor tell the truly haunting tales of Queen Mary, offering the most authentically frightening experience around. The evil eight spirits: Iron Master, Captain, Samuel the Savage, Graceful Gale, Half-Hatch Henry, Scary Mary, Voodoo Priestess, Ringmaster, plus hundreds of their horrific henchmen; await to tempt your fate.

Signature mazes Circus, Lullaby, Deadrise, Soulmate, B340 return to offer glimpses into the ship’s sordid past. Other spirited attractions Hex Paintball Gallery, Panic 4-D, Sideshow, Neverland Ranch’s Sinister Swings, Voodoo House Bar & Tasting Room, R.I.P. Lounge, Big Top Bar, demonic DJ’s and other main stage mayhem make for a freakishly good time.

The annual haunt opens its gates on September 29 and continues to scare those who dare through October 31. General admission ticket prices start at just $20 online, with Fast Fright upgrades, VIP R.I.P. Lounge access, Creepy Cabanarentals, and historic hotel packages available. For more information or to purchase tickets online, visit http://www.queenmary.com/dark-harbor.

We Can’t wait to see you Monsters in October at Dark Harbor!

VR Showdown in Ghost Town

Get ready to enter a time machine and go back in time to defend the town of Calico from an army of robots! This new attraction is not only action packed and so much fun, but it is also brining the innovation of Virtual Reality to a theme park setting. When Tim and I tried this attraction this past Tuesday evening, our minds were blown away!

IMG_4041wtmkIMG_4024wtmk

There is so much love and care for the park that went into this attraction. When you are in the queue, there are easter eggs for Knotts fans to discover and there you can watch the pre-show and learn the backstory of the adventure you will embark on. The details are so amazing! For those of you worried about a theming clash by having a Ghost Town attraction in Boardwalk, Don’t You Fear! The facade, queue and attraction falls in theming continuity with Iron Reef with steam punk elements. It honestly feels like an extension of the Iron Reef world, so it fits in PERFECTLY inside the Boardwalk Arcade.IMG_4013wtmkIMG_4010wtmk

Then you are escorted to your time traveling pod by scientists who are experts in the field of time travel and the space time continuum. They prepare you for what is to come by equipping you with your VR headset, headphones and your weapon. I am not going to spoil the actual experience for you but all I can say is it is fully immersive, thrilling, and so much fun! When Tim and I were screaming at the surprises, yelling at the things coming right at us, and I even went “pew pew” mimicking the laser gun in my hand. LOL. We REALLY got into it.

IMG_20170321_195937image2IMG_20170321_195549

The technology will leave you astounded and in awe. In this attraction, you are free to move around freely to battle the robots. It honestly feels like you are transported into the wild west of Calico, any way you turn there are enemies all around you. No worries about running into your friends or into anything while you are playing, you can clearly tell within the experience where your friends and where the boundaries are. You can stand, crouch, back away, dodge, and move around the space as you want and need to. Tim and I were on the floor at times, LOL. This is a one of a kind VR system and as it is stated in Knotts’ press release, “No consumer VR platform allows multiple users to move around this large of a play space, and WITHOUT the limitation of cables connecting users to the PCs, players are free to move around each other and the space to take advantage of the full-motion nature of the system.”

IMG_4021wtmkIMG_4035wtmk

Here are a couple of tips from us that we learned and hope that it will assist you on your mission to save our beloved Calico! The glowing power ups that appear, to access them you must swipe your weapon through it, don’t shoot it. Follow the objectives you are assigned while you are on your mission, it will help you succeed. And above all, don’t get hit by the enemies or debris created by the chaos, you WILL lose points. Also, don’t move past the grids, when you play it, you will understand.

IMG_4023wtmkIMG_4037wtmk

This is truly a unique experience that you can only can only experience at Knott’s Berry Farm! This is the VERY FIRST Free Roaming VR Experience and it is so mind blowing. Wow, how far technology has come. We HIGHLY recommend you experience this New attraction, it is so Worth the upcharge! Have fun with it, Tim and I were all over the place and having a blast. It is a blast to the past, hehhehehhehehehhehe. Fans of Knott’s Berry Farm, thrill seekers, video game lovers, theme park lovers, and so many people will love this. We are definitely going to go through this attraction again and again! And here is the great part about playing it multiple times, the experience will change every time… and hey, you can even try to beat that high score.

The Flavorful Celebration Will Feature a New Mouthwatering Food Lineup of Boysenberry Inspired Dishes and Entertainment For all Ages.

This spring, join Knott’s as it celebrates the flavorful berry that started it all, the boysenberry, during the much anticipated Knott’s Boysenberry Festival. For the first time ever, the mouthwatering festival is expanding to three weeks, April 1–April 23, with delectable food and drinks, and festive live entertainment. The 23-day food festival features over 70 one-of-a-kind boysenberry inspired dishes, drinks and more, plus foot-stompin’ entertainment, Wine and Craft Brew Tasting Garden, featuring boysenberry and wine, and family fun that everyone will love! For festival goers with a hankerin’ for some live entertainment, the options are endless with live music throughout the park, a nighttime dance party, and brand new shows like, Snoopy’s Boysenberry Jamboree at the Calico Mine Stage. Calico Park in Ghost Town is home to a good ol’ fashion hootenanny featuring pie eating contests, line dancing and country fair festivities with the local Ghost Town townsfolk. The limited-time festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm.

The year was 1920 when Walter and Cordelia Knott moved to the community of Buena Park Calif. to farm 20 acres of rented land which included harvesting, and selling the first boysenberry, a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry, and named the new berry after its originator, Rudolph Boysen. Today, all boysenberries in the world can trace their roots back to Knott’s Berry Farm.

For 2017, the mouthwatering line-up of boysenberry inspired dishes will feature irresistible boysenberry pizza made with arugula and goat cheese, the unforgettable and delicious new ravioli dish packed with boysenberry flavors, freshly-baked boysenberry fry bread and lip-smacking corn on the cob with boysenberry butter and mayo, each dish will leave guests wanting for more. Other must try items include crispy deep fried alligator bites paired with farm-made zesty boysenberry aioli, finger-lickin boysenberry BBQ wings, savory boysenberry meatballs, sweet boysenberry cream soda, creamy chocolate covered boysenberry cheesecake on a stick and many more delicious treats. Additional fee for tastings. Guests who want to take home the exquisite Boysenberry BBQ sauce, Boysenberry Butter, Boysenberry Dressing and Boysenberry Chipotle Sauce can do so by stopping by the Berry Market located in the California MarketPlace and General Store located in Ghost Town. Select items are available on the online Berry Market store.

Guests can purchase boysenberry inspired products throughout the winding streets of the Old West at the Crafts Fair. This year’s boysenberry products include boysenberry soap, lip balm and the devilishly good rock candy. Festivalgoers can also watch special demonstrations including a chainsaw wood sculpting, glass blowing and blacksmithing. From day to night, Ghost Town has never looked so lively.
This year, in honor of the famous berry, Ghost Town’s Town Hall will feature a fascinating film which shares the story of how Walter and Cordelia Knott settled here in Buena Park and helped the world discover the amazing boysenberry. Guests can pull up a seat and catch a 10-minute showing of the historic film offered exclusively during the festival.

The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival also features an extensive line up of live entertainment. Join Snoopy, Charlie and the entire Peanuts gang as they present an all new interactive, musical revue called Snoopy’s Boysenberry Jamboree! at the Calico Mine Stage. This new show will have families singing, dancing, and playing along with the beloved Peanuts characters and talented performers during the whimsical, high energy celebration of springtime. Country music and the aroma of deliciously good food will fill the air as the Ghost Town Miners take the stage in a fun, musical performance at the Firemen’s BBQ stage. Just across the Fireman’s stage, the Legendary Bird Cage Theatre pays tribute to Knott’s past; for the first time in over 20 years, the theatre will be the home of musical comedy melodrama, with a special presentation of the Old Time Melodrama. America’s longest running Melodrama returns with an original, interactive, comedy with a surprising boysenberry twist! In the evening, a group of krazy talented performers will have guests kicking up their heels with vine dancing, a down home jug band and dueling fiddlers and banjos! At the Wagon Camp stage, get krazy when Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies mount their toe tappin’, knee-slappin’, gut-bustin’ country comedy show that will have audiences clamoring for more!

The fun continues with new additions exclusively for the Boysenberry Festival. Brand new this season, The Old MacDonald Petting Zoo pays tribute to one of Knott’s original attractions. Young ones and young at heart are invited to cozy up to the cutest critters on the farm including horses, sheep, goats and other furry friends.
Springtime fun has also taken root in Camp Snoopy and Fiesta Village. During the limited-time event, the whole family can meet the Easter Beagle at his Camp Snoopy home, blooming with colorful springtime décor. The meet and greet location is the perfect place for shareable moments with the boisterous beagle and his friends – Charlie Brown, Lucy, Sally, and Linus. Camp Snoopy Theatre will showcase the PEANUTS pals singing, dancing, and sharing stories for all to enjoy. Everyone in the family can join in the Camp Snoopy activities. The theater will be filled with the sweet sound of little ones as they singing-along to the cheerful tunes! Guests don’t have to be experts at dancing to enjoy a nighttime Fiesta with DJ Cruz in Fiesta Village. The night comes alive with music and dance as everyone will be sure to take to the floor and dance to the rhythmic beat of popular music.

The Boysenberry Festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm, additional cost for food tasting experiences within the event, which also offers a full day of thrilling coasters and family fun rides. Knott’s will have extended hours, 10am to 10pm, from April 1 – April 23, allowing guests extra time to take advantage of all of the limited-time offerings.
